The South Binness Murders set in the month of May

Sunday 9 May and Inspector Horton has blood on an abandoned boat and a missing boat owner in THE SOUTH BINNESS MURDERS, no. 16 in the Solent Murder Mystery Series, featuring the renegade Detective Inspector Andy Horton.

DI Andy Horton arrives back in Southsea marina from France on his small yacht to find the police marine unit present having brought in an abandoned boat with what looks to be human blood on board. Is the missing boat owner dead or critically injured lying on a nearby shore? Is his body on one of the uninhabited small nature reserve islands in Langstone Harbour where the boat was found? Or has he absconded having killed someone on board?

Before Horton has confirmation that the blood is human, he’s called out the following day to investigate an unusual art robbery in a Portsmouth gallery.

Juggling both cases, which become more perplexing and disturbing with each step, Horton, aided by Sergeant Cantelli and DC Walters, is required to call upon all his instincts and his deep knowledge of humanity to help solve two cases where greed, guilt, snobbery and envy have reaped such disastrous consequences.
