August Bank Holiday and DI Andy Horton has a murder to solve

It's August Bank Holiday in England.  It's DI Andy Horton's second day back in Portsmouth CID after a suspension, and things aren't going well for the renegade detective in THE PORTSMOUTH MURDERS, the first in the Solent Murder Mystery Series of sixteen, soon to be seventeen in November 2023.

Andy Horton is out running along Portsmouth's seafront on a hot foggy August Bank Holiday. It's very early, there's no one about.  He diverts down onto the shore to run on the pebbled beach when, in the mist, he stumbles over the naked body of a man. Clearly he's been murdered.
