Some of my crime novels are available as audio books. This includes the DI Andy Horton Solent Murder Mysteries, books 1-7, and the first two 1950s set Inspector Ryga mysteries, DEATH IN THE COVE and DEATH IN THE HARBOUR.
The DI Andy Horton audio books are narrated by actor Colin Mace and produced by Saga Egmont. The Inspector Ryga mysteries narrated by actor Jonathan Rhodes and produced by B7 Media.
When Jonathan was recording DEATH IN THE HARBOUR, no. 2 in the Inspector Ryga series, he sent me over his narrator character notes.
This is a fascinating insight into his audio script character summaries for the recording. I particularly love the description of Eva Paisley, former war photographer and now a freelance photographer who assists Ryga on most of his investigations - he says "Lumley with bite". And for those of you who haven't twigged it he means the lovely, accomplished and highly popular British actress, Joanna Lumley. I think Jonathan's summary of Eva is spot on!
Here are some others: Joseph Moore - Steptoe; Leemings -Sour; Dewsnap - keen rabbit!
Scotland Yard's Inspector Alun Ryga is sent to Newhaven, East Sussex to unravel the mystery of why an ordinary police constable was murdered and his wife has gone missing
